2004 - 2009: Ph.D. study of Zoology at the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Thesis: “ Body size in reptiles: proximate mechanisms and ecophysilogical correlates.”

animal energetics; metabolic rate scaling; body size; temperature-induced phenotypic plasticity; cell and genome size evolution;  tail regeneration; evaporative water loss in lizards; reptile phylogeny
